     One of the key components responsible for maintaining high precision in Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) is the Granite/Marble bed, which forms the foundation of the machine. 4. Preventive Maintenance: Regular cleaning and maintenance of the CMM are crucial for reducing thermal expansion. Keeping the machine clean and well-lubricated minimizes wear and tear, which in turn reduces thermal expansion.

5. Avoid Direct Sunlight: Direct sunlight can cause the Granite/Marble bed to expand and contract. It is advisable to avoid exposing the machine to direct sunlight, especially during hot summer months.
